Introduction
S.D. Hari Prasad is a National Award-winning sculptor whose work integrates a multi-generational Sthapathi heritage with contemporary fine arts. Academic foundations from Andhra University and Glass work training in Istanbul inform a process where stone is transformed into evocative figurative and abstract forms. The recipient of a Junior Fellowship from the Department of Culture, Prasad has seen his work featured in prominent institutions like the National Gallery of Modern Art, New Delhi, and at international landmarks such as Sculpture by the Sea, Australia. Through this practice, the essence of the subject is captured and translated into forms that challenge and reflect contemporary perceptions.
